Our mission is to bring the hobby community together, to make a more inclusive space, and to show off the amazing people behind some of the hobby's most amazing art. We want this collection of people to be and endless scroll of awesome people.

Community Library
Another key element to building up the wargaming community is making a place full of different articles, resources, and assets available for free to everyone. We're hosting a permanent open call for submissions to all three of the above areas to make this site the go to place for wargamers new and old!

If you want to read up on what's going on in the world of wargaming, if you want to find tutorials and guides, if you want to find STL files for cool minis, our community area is the best place to do so!

Something of this scale obviously requires community involvement. That's where you come in! If you want to have a go at writing an article about any wargaming topic, if you have a tutorial or guide you want to give out, or if you have some model files, art, game resources, or anything else to give out, get in touch with us to put it all in one awesome place!

Changes for the Better
The aim with the Department of Wargaming website was, and always will be, to create a go-to all-in-one hub for the wargaming community for as low a cost as possible! Initially, to get the site going, it had to be populated with something. What better to do that with than what we know best, our own things. However, over the last few months, the amazing power of the wargaming community mixed with our indie publishing program means that we now have so many other amazing creators and projects to show off! This small start is enough to kickstart (what we hope) will be an amazing journey to being the largest wargaming platform for small and new creators!

So, what's actually changed? Well in terms of our mentality and plans for the future, not much. We will continue to put our amazing community projects first and will try and provide the best services we can to bring new projects to life! Visually, the website has had a full overhaul, as you may have noticed by now. Everything now puts the community at the front and centre of our site. Everything from our landing page spotlight, to individual spotlights, to furthering our community offerings. We've also vastly developed the site to add new offerings to our publishing partners and other community members. The site now has a full events tab dedicated to hosting amazing events at a low cost to both creators and guests. The events tab also contains a calendar, with not only events we're hosting on the site, but the most comprehensive list of all the events we can find in the wargaming community!
Don't worry, our own range of amazing things hasn't gone anywhere. You can still find all the info about all our games and upcoming projects as well as all of our products new and old.
Hopefully, everything above has helped prove to you what we're all about! If not, worry not! More community focused projects and changes are always in the works. Watch this space!
